past the climb of Mount Scott,
At the fork of Constance Lane …
My spring summer sweat
Brings me to city mountain views
... And the aromatic scents of you.

To the man, who's name is faithful...
to the people, who are faithful... dedicated to you. I see the sadness in your eyes. ... The authenticity of your sadness Only describes to me The depth of your love. Your love, seen here for her, Was scented from above. Your love, was dragged through hell … And your love held. You are a miracle. You are empirical. You are shelter. You are jewel. You are mule… A stubborn beauty, love royale. You were Loyal – held on to... You stood fast… Past the hour, when love was due. © jan leree 2012 The woman,
With the auburn hair … I often saw her there, She waited for him every day, Her picnic basket in tow… ... From what I saw, he never came. He was steadfast at home, Taking care of his wife, training sons... Holding fast, the man, to his loyal domain. © jan leree open poetry, LLC 2012 This day breaks slow
My heart…I fell face into the snow. Lord, do not let go Lord he stands by me In the snow. ... I see the boots, I crawl to where the last foot prints stop. Thank you that in sleep, I wake without the bondage of defeat. Trust. Trust. Trust. Trust. Trust. Sit with my soul. Still me in your quiet hold. Cherish me. Let me feel that I am still gold. Worthy to hold. Worthy to hold. Change me Lord. Change me Lord Mask me in ribbons, trestles from your throne. Clean me to the bone. Polish my darkness- into silvered white gold. Blow the chaff that has smothered my soul Blow into the wind, as I walk forward again. Shine light to where the wind blows For me to go. Guide me around the post holes Lift me, to where vine laced flowers grow. Trust, trust, Trust, Trust, Trust. What does it look like? Where can I get some to polish off my rust Lord, dip me …Plated in trust. Let me feel your strength Your love. Your hand steady on the wheel Let me see and know what is fake, what is real Let me be what is laced, embroidered in Heaven’s appeal. ©2012 jan leree
