Simple Framed Poetry
It's only been a few days ...

I miss You

Picture
It's only been a few days ...
Its only been a view days,
since we talked,
but I miss you.

I miss the color of your hair,
I miss the shimmer of your eyes ...
like the silver light,
of summer sun's kisses on the water.

I miss the dirt from your boot,
across your front porch rug ...

I miss the smell of the fire and smoke,
on your shirt.

I miss the way you lean
into the door of your truck,
turning your face from the sun.

I miss your laughter,
and your lifetime stories,
I miss your call.
I respect and miss,
the strength of your walls...
the mountains you have conquered.

I never really knew you,
I've never kissed you,
but I miss you.
