When my ship comes in,
will I know ...?

The way You move,
The way You brush against me,
When I walk …
The way You breathe in the wind …
The way You care less,
... About what offends the egos of men.
In so many unspeakable ways …
You touch me …
You set my soul free.

A walk along the river,
Can still …
Like a day out of town.

Take time,
... To notice your life …
To stop
And lay your cares down.

 Created in the image ...
Created to love…
Created to create ...
look at the fermented inspiration
that breathes on me,
... with every breath!

 The detail,
In these strokes …
The time sink …
To make this much perfection …
The complete soul intended resurrection …
... Speaks of love,
Of which I am inept
At comprehension…

Look what I've been given.
What more could I ask for?

  The morning is here.
I am blessed with its ardor,
That is clear.
These pages of pen,
Bare for ten or more days…
... But this morning I woke,
Coming forth from a haze.
My first thoughts were a poem,
The first rhyme fell from the sleep of my tears.

 Is the wall
Between you and your dreams
your hopes,
your potential ...
your God...
... Real?
Or is it …
Imaginary?

Let the leaf fall …
Let the skies reflect …
Let life do its work on me …
Let Love have its’ effect.

When I rest in the water's edge
at the place where the waves lap on the bay ...
My mind is calmed.
My soul is held in sway.
